How to connect your webshop, till and accounting
Many companies have a good webshop, a fiscal till and an accounting program. These programs do not exchange data, so someone copies every order by hand.
What copying costs you
Each time data is copied, it takes time and leaves room for mistakes: the wrong quantity, a swapped item code, an invoice that goes out late. When there are many orders, this eats a large part of someone's working day.
How the connection works
Most current programs have an API that lets another program read and write data. We build a small service that watches for new webshop orders and passes them on: to the till, to the accounting program and to the courier. Stock levels flow back to the webshop, so customers do not order what is out of stock.
What if a program has no API
Older applications sometimes have no API. Data can then often be exchanged through file import and export in an agreed format, or directly through the database with the vendor's consent. In the analysis we check what your programs support.
Why it is a good first step
Connecting systems usually brings a visible benefit for a fairly small investment, because staff keep the programs they already know. The only change is that the data moves on its own.
